FlightSeats.io is a tool that helps you quickly find reward seat availability on the Qantas and Virgin Australia (Velocity) frequent flyer programs. Instead of searching day-by-day on airline websites, you can use FlightSeats.io to instantly see reward seat availability across many regions and months - making it easier to book the seats you want before they disappear.
We collect reward seat data and display it in easy-to-use search tools that let you filter by route, cabin class, dates, and more. We also offer alerts and predictive insights, so you know the best time to book.
Currently, FlightSeats.io supports the Qantas and Virgin Velocity frequent flyer programs. By supporting these two programs alone, we can focus on providing the best tools out there for Australian frequent flyers.
Yes - FlightSeats.io shows you where reward seats are available, but you'll need to use your Qantas or Virgin Velocity frequent flyer points (or partner points that transfer) to actually book the seats.
No. Our platform helps you find the seats faster, but booking is still done through the airline's own website. We'll link you straight to the relevant flight so you can complete your booking quickly.
Our data is refreshed frequently, meaning that you see very few stale results. This gives you an edge, as you'll get first access to newly released reward seats.
We can't guarantee it, as seats are booked in real-time on the airline's system. However, our fast updates and alerts mean you're far more likely to see availability before it's gone.
Yes - we use historical data on reward seat releases to estimate the likelihood of new seats opening on specific routes and dates. While not a certainty, these insights can help you plan better and decide when to book. Check out the When To Book tool to try it out.
We offer a free tier with limited search capability (up to 120 days ahead), and paid plans that start at $15/month and unlock more powerful features (such as full year searching, frequent alert checks, and seat count filtering). Pricing details are available on our pricing page.
Because airline sites make you search day-by-day, for a single origin-destination combination, which is slow and frustrating. FlightSeats.io shows you an entire year worth of availability at once, with filters for cabin class, seat count, aircraft type and much more. There's also reward seat alerts, which notify you when new seats open up. It saves time and increases your chances of actually booking the reward seats you want.
We cover both domestic and international routes where Qantas or Virgin make reward seats available. This includes partner airline flights booked through Qantas or Velocity (such as Emirates or Singapore Airlines).
No - we're an independent service built to help frequent flyers get more value from their points. All booking is still done through the airlines directly.
Yes - FlightSeats.io works seamlessly on desktop and mobile browsers. We also have a Chrome extension that overlays reward seat data directly into the Qantas and Virgin booking pages. There is no native mobile app available.
You can search across Economy, Premium Economy, Business, and First Class reward seats (depending on the airline and route).
Yes, you can create custom alerts so you'll be notified as soon as seats open up on your preferred route and travel dates.
No problem - FlightSeats.io isn't just for hardcore 'points geeks.' Our tools are designed to be simple and visual, so even if you've never booked a reward seat before, you'll quickly see when and where you can fly with your points.
